Hi, I'm Kody, the founder and lead planner of Arrow and Ivy Events. I am based in San Diego and have started this company on the foundation that love and celebration should be accessible to all people. With over 10 years of hospitality experience, event planning school through the New York Institute of Art and Design, and 6 years in the events industry, I have had the opportunity to work across nearly every side of event execution. I began full time on the catering side for a few years, fell in love with the events industry, then went to school and did the planning/ coordinating side for a few years. I have since worked on the event rentals side which has given me a very well rounded understanding of what it takes to bring an event to life seamlessly and successfully.
I’m passionate about events because I love creating experiences people will remember long after the day is over. There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching months of planning and all the details come together to create meaningful, unforgettable moments for clients and their guests.
A little more about me personally: Living in San Diego has always been a dream of mine, and I feel incredibly lucky to build a career doing something I genuinely love in a place that inspires me daily. Outside of work, you can usually find me somewhere outdoors hiking, swimming, relaxing near the water, or soaking up the sunshine. I also love craft nights with friends, cooking new meals, discovering new local breweries, gardening, and finding joy in the little moments that bring people together, which is probably why I love events so much in the first place.
We believe that all people should feel welcomed, respected, and celebrated.
We believe in honest pricing, clear communication, no surprises.
We believe in creating meaningful experiences, not just pretty events.
We believe that every detail serves a purpose and supports the experience.
